Our History

St. Paul's Evangelical Reformed Church has a rich history of over 139 years in preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serving the Lord in the communities of:

- Hamburg
- Norwood-Young America
- Waconia
- Glencoe
- Chaska
- Shakopee
- Cologne
- Green Isle
- and Hutchinson

St. Paul's was started by German settlers who came to this area with both a desire to hold fast to God's Word and a love for the Reformed faith. St. Paul's was originally part of the German Reformed Church in the United States which merged to form the United Church of Christ. As St. Paul's desired to remain faithful to God's word, the church rejoined the R.C.U.S. in the 199's.

The R.C.U.S strives to be faithful to God's word as a remnant of what used to be the German Reformed Church.
